NBA Betting Guide for Wednesday: Best Bets, Player Props, and More

The Timberwolves look like a lock to cover against the Raptors, four player props worth betting now, and more.

Wednesday night's NBA schedule features 9 games, including an ESPN doubleheader that kicks off with the Thunder at the Celtics (-8.5), followed by the Cavs at the Suns (-5.5).

This betting guide will highlight our best bet of the night and 4 player props we've identified as great value plays.

Best Bet: Minnesota Timberwolves (-14)

Our best bet for Wednesday is the Timberwolves (-14) over the Toronto Raptors. This is a game that clearly jumps out as Toronto is winless in their last 10 games, while Minnesota is 8-2.

Even worse, the Raptors have covered just 1 spread in their last 10 games, with an average margin of defeat of 22 points. Minnesota is 7-3 ATS over thier last 10 and are 43-14 as a favorite this season.

It's never fun laying a big number like this, but we think Toronto will want no part of Minnesota's physicality and this game will get ugly early.

Wednesday’s NBA Best Prop Picks

This Wednesday, look for star players including Shai and Anthony Davis to bounce back on the East coast, while Derrick White is the player that could give Oklahoma City some issues in a marquee matchup.

G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC): Over 5.0 Assists

After missing the Thunder’s previous game against Philadelphia, Shai is expected to play tonight against the Eastern conference leading Celtics.

With Mazulla’s key to the game most likely not allowing any easy buckets for the premiere Western Conference point guard, look for Shai to dish out to Isiah Joe, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and the other Thunder shooters to keep them competitive in this game.

Shai dropped 7 dimes against Boston earlier this season and averages 7.1 AST per contest against the Atlantic division.

C Anthony Davis (LAL): Over 24.5 Points

Although this game has heavy blowout potential, we are still shocked to see Davis’s point total come in below 25.

AD dropped 40 points on Washington in their first game this season and over his L5 has been dominant, averaging 27.8 PPG and 16.0 RPG.

Although Davis hasn’t hit the 25-point mark in three straight games, look for the Lakers to win their 8th game in 9 attempts behind AD’s monster game against weaker bigs in Washington.

G Derrick White (BOS): Over 26.5 PRA

Derrick White has been playing like a true championship-caliber point guard the last month, averaging 6.5 assists on less than 2 turnovers per contest.

Enter Oklahoma City who is banged up and more offensive minded at this stage of the season, and we are due for a big Derrick White ball game. Over his last 5 games, White has hit the 30 PRA mark three times.

He dropped 30 PRA in their first meeting earlier in the season and we expect similar numbers tonight.

G Andrew Nembhard (IND): Under 10.5 Points

Nembhard has struggled to find his rhythm against the Nets, scoring just 7 PPG against them this season all while holding a +36 plus/minus line in the Pacers’ two wins.

The Pacers’ secondary guard next to Haliburton simply doesn’t have to score in order for his team to win. This is a motto that should hold true again on Wednesday when the two teams head in for a rematch.

Averaging more APG and less PPG in wins, look for Nembhard’s under today while the Pacers go for back-to-back victories over a struggling Brooklyn squad.
