NBA Betting Preview: Top Player Props for Tuesday, April 2

Tuesday's NBA Betting Preview features four player prop bets! Check out what's on tap for April 2. Good luck!

Nine NBA games are on tap tonight for viewer’s pleasure as the action on the court with just two weeks remaining in the regular season. Teams scrambling for playoff positioning

This author’s hot streak is continuing. After hitting 75% of covered player prop bets last week, yesterday’s selections were a perfect 4-for-4.

Can the streak continue? Let’s reveal our top four player prop bets for Tuesday’s NBA matchups below.

Austin Reaves OVER 16.5 Points (FanDuel)

Los Angeles travels north to face off against the Toronto Raptors. While Toronto is already eliminated from playoff contention, the Lakers are only one game behind Sacramento for eighth place in the Western Conference.

The significance of the eighth seed is Los Angeles would host their first-round matchup. The Lakers are significantly better at home, posting a 27-12 record in the Crypto.com Arena.

The same does not hold for second-year guard Austin Reaves. This season, Reaves is a better scorer away from home, posting nearly one more point in road contests.

In his past three games, however, Reaves has not eclipsed the 16-point mark. Yet bettors should expect the second-year guard to drop at least 17 points tonight with the Lakers stars – Anthony Davis and LeBron James – both nursing injuries for this road contest.

Jimmy Butler OVER 30.5 Pts + Reb + Ast

A pivotal Eastern Conference matchup features the New York Knicks visiting the Miami Heat. New York is currently fourth with a half-game lead over Orlando. The Heat are a full game behind Indiana for sixth place.

In big games, Miami turns to Jimmy Butler. The 14-year veteran is averaging 21.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game this season. Yet his home stats increase across the board as Butler is averaging 1.5 points more at home than away from the Kaseya Center.

In two games this year against the Knicks, Butler has scored 25.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists against the Eastern Conference rival. Expect Butler to have another strong game tonight, successfully covering his player combo prop bet Tuesday.

Victor Wembanyama UNDER 10.5 Rebounds

Although San Antonio’s season will be finished in two weeks, the Denver Nuggets have plenty left to play for over the final two regular season weeks. The Nuggets are a half-game back from Oklahoma City for first place in the Western Conference to guarantee home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Spurs are being led by presumptive NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama. The 7’ 4” phenom just completed a game last week where he scored 40 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, and dished out seven assists.

Against Denver, however, Wembanyama has been held under his season averages in both contests thus far. The Nuggets have not allowed Wembanyama to surpass nine rebounds in either game, so bettors should expect Denver’s defense will keep Wembanyama from covering this player prop bet Tuesday.

Paul George UNDER 26.5 Points (Caesars)

The Los Angeles Clippers travel north to face the Sacramento Kings Tuesday. The Clippers are fourth in the Western Conference, holding a two-game lead over Dallas for the spot.

Sacramento is a half-game behind Phoenix for seventh place heading into the contest. After dropping 41 points in his last outing, Clippers forward Paul George looks primed for another big outing Tuesday night.

The problem is the Kings; in two games against them this season, George has been held to 28 combined points. Don’t expect George to surpass this elevated player point prop bet tonight.
