The Pick: under 215.5 (-105), bet $10.50 to win $10
Given my recent success, I’m gonna stick with over/unders, and go below the limbo stick today. Mainly, my pick’s a response to what seems to be recency bias on the part of bettors. Thursday’s over/under was 211.5, and I think the Celtics’ 40-point fourth quarter has skewed gamblers’ minds a bit. An underrated “skewing” would also be Golden State’s 38-point third quarter. I don’t think either team has a quarter like that today. Nor do I think the Celtics make 21 three-pointers, or shoot 51.2% from behind the arc. Today’s game should be a natural comedown from Thursday, and if the over/under had only gone up one or two points, fine. But this swing’s too far.
