Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors, 9 pm Eastern
The Pick: Dallas +6.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10
It was reported that after Game 1 on Wednesday, Dallas star Luka Doncic was “up all night” battling some sort of illness. If true, that would explain his poor second half in that game. I expect Doncic to play better tonight. I also expect his teammates to play better; they’d better play better, or else my hunch that the Mavericks can win this series will be proven folly. While this isn’t technically a “must-win” for Dallas, I do think they will show some urgency. I do think they’ll shoot better than 22.9% from three, and I do think Golden State will ease off the gas a bit. I don’t think the Warriors will shoot 56.1% from the field tonight. Getting 6.5 instead of 6 tips it for me, so I’ll take the Mavs to cover.
