Boston Celtics at Miami Heat, 8:30 pm Eastern
The Pick: Over 208 total points (-110), bet $11 to win $10
I’m taking the over again, due to the fact that Boston and Miami hit the over on Tuesday despite the game being a frenetic mess for long stretches. The Heat bombarded the Celtics in the third quarter of Game 1, with desperate, tough defense, storming past them and putting the game away. Even in the fourth quarter, Miami was swarming Boston on every single pass. I don’t see either defense being quite as desperate tonight. Game 2 should bring a settling down, with Boston handling the pressure better. Also, Celtic guard Marcus Smart is probable for this game, which should also help the Celtics’ ball-handling and playmaking. Finally, this game should be tighter than Tuesday’s and played until the final whistle. All bodes well for surpassing a low over/under.
