Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls, 8:30 pm Eastern
The Pick: Milwaukee -138, bet $17.25 to win $12.50
Losing Khris Middleton to a knee injury is indeed a big blow for Milwaukee, but I think the silver lining of that is, Giannis Antetokounmpo will be getting the ball even more now. Quite frankly, Chicago has no one able to handle him (to be fair, no one in the league does, really), and the Bulls’ defense really suffers without Lonzo Ball up top to anchor it. Since the All-Star Break, Chicago has been in a free fall, especially against good teams. The Bulls may have evened the series with a big win on Wednesday, and even played the Bucks close in Game 1. But Giannis is an MVP candidate, a superstar, the best player on the floor by far, and a player who always rises to challenges. I think he’s eager to let it be known that Milwaukee is still the defending champions. I think Jrue Holiday and the rest of the Bucks are too. I’ll pay a touch extra for a straight win.
