The Pick: Philadelphia -210, bet $21 to win $10
In their last game, I picked Detroit to cover against Philadelphia, and boy, did they ever. That loss really must’ve been a wake-up call for the Sixers, and while I’m not saying they’re going to solve all their problems today, they are going to focus in their own arena and at least stop the bleeding. Philadelphia is learning that acquiring James Harden didn’t magically make them shoo-ins for anything except for dealing with James Harden’s uneven effort, so expect them to renew their defensive effort today against a Charlotte team that’s lost to them nine of their last ten. I’ll pay extra not to worry about a spread. I truly feel this is a must-win for Philadelphia, if there’s any chance they threaten in the Playoffs.
