Cleveland Cavaliers at Toronto Raptors, 7:30 pm Eastern
The Pick: Cleveland +5.5 (-110), bet $33 to win $30; Cleveland +180, bet $10 to win $18
This is a big game, which indicates that it’s going to be a close game - and when it’s close, take the points. Cleveland and Toronto are jockeying for playoff position, and neither wants to be in the play-in game, which right now would be against the Brooklyn Nets. If Brooklyn has Kyrie Irving available, they’re perhaps the most dangerous #8 seed in NBA Playoff history. So neither the Cavs nor the Raptors want that. So every game counts. Cleveland has injury issues, but continue to be a solid play on the road: 19-15-2 against the spread this season. But the Raptors have their own injury issues, with Gary Trent Jr. questionable with a toe problem. Further, the Cavaliers are 3-0 against Toronto this season. I think tonight’s a dogfight, so again - I’ll take the points.
