O'Sullivan's Friday 1.7 NBA Picks: Spurs at Sixers, Wizards at Bulls in a home-team teaser

San Antonio Spurs at Philadelphia 76ers, 7 pm Eastern, Washington Wizards at Chicago Bulls, 8 pm.

Washington Wizards at Chicago Bulls, 8 pm Eastern

The Pick: Teaser Philadelphia -1.5 w/Chicago -1, -110, bet $11 to win $10

Teasing two home teams with high playoff aspirations down so I basically just need both to win. Philadelphia has won five games in a row, is 4-1 in their last five against the spread, and 13-6 as a favorite. Joel Embiid is playing for the Sixers, while I barely recognize half of the Spurs’ roster (almost as important, Matisse Thybulle should be back tonight for Philadelphia). Embiid and Philly’s defense, eighth in the league, should be able to stop San Antonio. Halfway across the country, Washington and Chicago face off for the second time in a week. Guard DeMar DeRozan hit a buzzer-beater to put the Bulls past the Wizards in that game, but that game was in Washington. Tonight’s game is in Chicago, where the Bulls are 13-4. The Bulls are also on an eight-game winning streak, and 21-14 against the spread, so teasing them down to a point feels wise.
