O'Sullivan's Tuesday 1.4 NBA Picks: Suns vs Pelicans – Can healthy New Orleans cover against weakened Phoenix?

Phoenix Suns at New Orleans Pelicans, 8 pm Eastern.

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 NBA Season so far: 97-121-2, -$431.14

The Pick: New Orleans +7.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10

Let me be clear here: New Orleans is not a good team. They’ve been disappointing everyone for a couple of years now (more, really, if you think about it). But this season they are a not-terrible 7-10 at home and 10-7 at home against the spread. For Phoenix, this is the third game of a three-game road trip before getting back to their own city. The Suns cruised on Sunday against the Hornets, and I’m certainly not taking the Pelicans moneyline. But 7.5 points is a healthy chunk to get at home, and right now New Orleans is relatively COVID-free, while Phoenix has four players (including two starters, Jae Crowder and DeAndre Ayton) in some form of quarantine status. I think the Suns let down a little tonight, and the Pelicans get the cover.
