The Pick: Washington -124, bet $12.40 to win $10

Charlotte got smoked by Phoenix last night, and now have to go on the road for the second game of a back-to-back against Washington, who blew a late lead to Chicago on Saturday, losing on a DeMar DeRozan three-pointer at the buzzer. I think the Wizards are (rightfully) ticked off and have been stewing for a day on that loss, and the loss they suffered to the Hornets in Washington on Nov. 22, 103-109. Washington is 9-6 as a favorite this year, but have lost four of five at home. Forward Davis Bertans has been upgraded to probable for Washington. I think the Wizards will feel a little desperation tonight, and come out ready to play.
