The Pick: Parlay Indiana -10 w/Phoenix -8 (+258), bet $7.50 to win $19.38
Last night’s terrible performances by the home teams I picked will not deter me from picking home teams tonight. Detroit has lost six games in a row on the road, while Indiana will look to avenge their Nov. 18 loss when these two teams first met. The Pacers are coming off two straight losses to very good teams, Milwaukee and Golden State, so tonight is a chance to get well against the worst team in the league right now. The Pistons only muster 99.7 points per game and the Pacers have the 10th best defense in the league in giving up points.
Meanwhile, Phoenix hosts Washington, who’s lost three in a row, two on this current road trip. The Wizards have been terrible against the spread lately, 0-6-1 in their last seven, including 0-5-1 on the road. Phoenix has won ten in a row at home, but have lost five of their last six to Washington - I think they’ll be determined to end that trend tonight. The Suns are sixth in points-allowed defense and eighth in scoring offense. I’m gonna put more money on the tease but a little on a straight parlay. I think both home teams cruise tonight, which would be a nice payoff.
