The Pick: Denver -180, bet $26.79 to win $15

Once again, when faced with a losing streak, the smart move is to re-assess, start small, and try to build a little momentum. So after the week I’ve just had, I need to get a win just to cleanse the palate. Denver is playing at home, where they have the advantage of the altitude affecting visiting teams. What’s more, the Nuggets are returning home after over two weeks on the road; the relief at being back in Denver should energize the team. They’ve won six of their last nine at home. Washington’s Kyle Kuzma is out with COVID issues. He’s been a real lift for the Wizards and they’ll miss him. Also, Washington is 1-7-1 against the spread on the road in their last nine. I’m not messing with the spread here, but that’s a reassuring fact as I pay a little extra to try to get back on track.
