O'Sullivan's Saturday NBA Picks: Knicks at Hawks, Magic at Cavaliers

New York Knicks at Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 pm Eastern, Orlando Magic at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8 pm.

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 NBA Season so far: 72-84-2, -$218.40

New York Knicks at Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Atlanta -176, bet $14.08 to win $8; Atlanta -4 (-110), bet $6 to win $5.45

Atlanta has won seven in a row and is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games. Even though it’ll be a back-to-back game, this is a big game for the Hawks, who trail the Knicks by a half-game and want to continue to prove that last season’s playoff run was not a fluke. New York’s typical strong defense isn’t that much better than Atlanta’s currently, so I think the Hawks continue their streak tonight.

Orlando Magic at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8 pm Eastern

The Pick: Cleveland -7 (-110), bet $11 to win $10

Both of these teams are carrying losing streaks: Orlando with four games and Cleveland with five. But not only is Orlando playing on the road, but they’ll also be playing without seemingly their entire team. The main absence will be Cole Anthony, who’s having a great season. The Cavs will be missing rookie star Evan Mobley, but despite the losing streak have been good against the spread: 10-2-1 in their last 13 games. I think they get well against the Magic…
