O'Sullivan's Sunday NBA Picks: Suns at Rockets, Warriors at Hornets, and a 2-team parlay

Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets, 7 pm Eastern, Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Hornets, 7 pm.

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 NBA Season so far: 54-64-2, -$226.64

(Standing Caveat: The universe is chaotic. Life is unpredictable. Things happen. Like injuries. In following Seattle O’Sullivan’s betting advice, be advised that you should always monitor your bets during the day to make certain unforeseen things have not occurred which might change your wagering opinion. Thank you.)

Moneyline Parlay: Brooklyn (-400) w/Phoenix (-390), true price -176, bet $11.55 to win $6.59

Again, this is more an “anti-parlay” with Oklahoma City and Houston. The Thunder have won four straight but haven’t played anyone like the Nets, and the Rockets are 1-11, 0-10 as the underdog. I don’t see either favorite messing around with what should be a sure win. And because Houston is 0-10 as an underdog…

Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Phoenix -8.5 (-114), bet $7.75 to win $6.80

Phoenix has won seven straight, is 6-0 against the spread in its last six games, and beat Houston by 12 at home on Nov. 4. The Suns are third-best in the league in points per game (111.7) while the Rockets are the sixth-worst (102.8). I think living legend Chris Paul isn’t going to let his current team lose focus against his former team. The Suns take care of business.

Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Hornets, 7 pm Eastern

The Picks: Charlotte +5 (-110), bet $15.20 to win $13.82; Golden State winning margin 6-10 (+430), bet $5 to win $21.50

This is a “home dog” pick with a bit of a hedge twist. I like Charlotte and the points; though they lost at Golden State 114-92 on Nov. 3, they were only down by a point at halftime before the roof caved in. They’ll put on a better show at home, and if Golden State manages to cover, it shouldn’t be the blowout it was earlier. So I'm setting up a nice range here with no possible way it could blow up in my face, no way, siree...This “exotic” play will have to take the place of the “Plumlee Well,” as there were no lines on Mason when this was written.
