O'Sullivan's Tuesday NBA Picks: Hawks at Jazz, Trail Blazers at Clippers, a parlay and an Ivica Zubac prop

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz, 9 pm Eastern, Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Clippers, 10 pm.

So the implementation of my “Standing Caveat” was immediately needed, and immediately effective. Philadelphia 76er Joel Embiid was diagnosed with COVID after I had picked him to carry his team past the Knicks; I put in an emergency “stop order” with my editor; my editor obliged by posting the update; you all avoided gambling frustration by pulling back your own wagers (hopefully).

We’re a well-oiled machine, folks. Efficiency feels good, doesn’t it?

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 NBA Season so far: 43-55–2, -$231.96

(Standing Caveat: The universe is chaotic. Life is unpredictable. Things happen. Like injuries, for instance. In following Seattle O’Sullivan’s betting advice, be advised that you should always monitor your bets during the day to make certain unforeseen things have not occurred which might change your wagering opinion. Thank you.)

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz, 9 pm Eastern

The Pick: Utah -335, bet $15 to win $4.20; Utah -8 (-110), bet $2.20 to win $2

I hate to keep picking on Atlanta, here. But the Hawks are on the second game of a road/road back-to back, it’s their third game in four nights, they’ve lost seven of their last ten against Utah, Utah’s 3-0 at home and have lost two in a row…I’m gonna stop typing now. Moneyline for dinner, cover for dessert.

Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Clippers, 10 pm Eastern

The Pick: Los Angeles -143, bet $7.50 to win $5.25

Portland is 0-5 against the spread in their last games at Los Angeles. The Clippers are rolling, having won four in a row after starting off 1-4, and are playing surprisingly well without Kawhi Leonard. It’s their defense, which has stayed strong without Leonard; the Clippers are 8th in the NBA giving up only 102.6 points per game. The Trail Blazers allow their opponents to shoot 37% from three-point land, which could prove disastrous against the sharp-shooting Clippers. Portland can’t quite figure themselves out yet and lost at Los Angeles 111-92 on Oct. 29. I think it happens again tonight.

Moneyline Parlay: Utah (-335) w/Los Angeles Clippers (-143), true price +121, bet $4 to win $4.84

Player Prop Parlay: Ivica Zubac to get 4+ rebounds w/under 9.5 points +103, bet $2 to win $2.08

Zubac is averaging 9.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for the Clippers. I’ll take slight value and put a little sumptin’-sumptin’ on him to have an average game.
