Fats Baller's Monday NBA prop picks: James Harden, RJ Barrett, Elfrid Payton, the Knicks, & the Nets vs Kings

Hawks at KNICKS 7:35 pm EST, Nets at KINGS 10:05 pm

3-3 last night for a small loss. Would make the bets on Enes Kanter and Gary Trent Jr. again. Thought the Suns vs Magic over 213 was easy money and then the Magic put up 35 points in the first half.

Monday picks

Tonight I'm just going Knicks and Nets. Interested in the Wizards vs. Rockets but unclear at post time if Russell Westbrook is going to play. Will probably watch the Sixers vs. Jazz to see how those teams match up and How Rudy Gobert plays Joel Embiid. I'm guessing Ben Simmons guards Donovan Mitchell – that will be a more difficult choice when Mike Conley is playing.

Since I'm still in the black after being a couple hundred down, I'm taking two fliers tonight. The first is James Harden +500 to get a triple-double. The Nets vs. Kings should be an end-to-end game and with Kevin Durant out again, more boards may be available for Harden. It's a stretch but Harden is often on the verge of a triple-double so at +500 in a likely high-scoring game it seems like a good night to take the shot.

The other flier is the Knicks +1.5 over the Hawks and Over 218 at +260. The Knicks are home, have been playing well and are starting to get a little more O. The Hawks have lost 3 in a row and 6 of 7 since De'Andre Hunter went down and their D has struggled. Two other Knicks plays are RJ Barrett over 23.5 points, rebounds, assists and Elfrid Payton over 11.5 points. Payton has scored 12 or more in 5 of his last 6, so whether he makes the number tonight will be more on him than the Hawks. Barrett has been off the last few games but he's still averaging a PRA of 26 and the sight of former Duke teammate Cam Reddish may fill him with joy. The last time these team played, Barrett went for 26-11-5.

My other Nets/Kings play is Under 242.5. I don't like to pick unders because I hate rooting for guys to miss, when there are s many plays where you can root for them to score. But, the Kings have been in over 242.5 game since Jan. 29 against Toronto and the Nets haven't gone over that number in the four recent games they've played without Durant.
