NBA pick of the day: The battle for LA — Lakers vs Clippers

I wouldn’t be running to step in front of the Clippers right now. Kawhi Leonard and company have won six straight games and covered in five of those six. Recent victims of the Clippers include Houston, Denver and Oklahoma City, all by double digits. While the Lakers are coming off an impressive second half against Milwaukee on Monday, Clippers look to have gone into playoff mode with about one month left in the regular season. If that’s the case, this is the best team in the NBA and a team I’d bet blindly against anyone laying only 2.5 points. The Lakers are also playing good basketball overall right now having won five out of six. This should have a playoff feel to it and while this sounds square, I find the Clippers to simply be the better team and win this game and with a point spread this short, a win most likely equals a cover.
