Monday BoopProps - Sixers vs. Atlanta Hawks

Since the Sixers’ Ben Simmons is out of Monday’s game against the Hawks, does that mean someone has to step up into his role and not take any shots beyond 10 feet? Asking for a frustrated friend . . .

By the way, Simmons has missed seven games in his NBA career. The Sixers are 4-0 in such home games, 0-3 on the road.

So the victory should not be the problem (Sixers are favored by over a touchdown). Generating the numbers may be. Joel Embiid should get his (although we won’t touch that after the Bucks game and our “slam dunk” on his point total), but even with Simmons out there is no way we see Josh Richardson having Over 4.5 assists.

The last time he had five or more dimes was Jan. 9 (seven vs. Celtics), and he has missed a handful of games since then, but in none of the dozen he has played, has he gotten over four.

He had four total over the last two games when there has been virtually no Simmons (total of 4 minutes played), and we don’t see that changing any here either.
