NBA Monday pick of the day: Kings vs Timberwolves — Can De'Aaron Fox trot Sacramento to a win?

1-0 Sunday, 76-77-1 overall.

Kings (+3) @ Timberwolves (226)

Pick: Kings +3

We’re riding the underdog Sacramento Kings to start the week in the Twin Cities. Luke Walton’s team is an impressive 11-7 against the spread as a road dog, good for a 61.1% cover rate. Both the Kings and Timberwolves have disappointed in 2019-2020 and currently occupy the 13th and 14th positions in the Western Conference standings with only the Golden State Warriors worse. However, we simply think the Kings are the better team and this line should at least be a PK. Three points in enough wiggle room for us to take a stab on Sacramento, a team with a decisive backcourt advantage tonight as the majority of the Timberwolves talent is on the wings and in the frontcourt. Let’s not forget Minnesota has also lost nine in a row coming into tonight. So why again are they favored? Again, the Kings are not good, but they’re better than the Timberwolves.
