It might feel weird thinking that a team traveling to the Bay Area to play the Golden State Warriors might actually fall into a flat spot, but that’s what we’re thinking tonight. The Boston Celtics begin a five-game road trip out west with the Warriors tonight. Boston has won nine in a row since losing on opening night in Philadelphia. The Warriors have started the season going in the exact opposite direction posting a 2-10 record through 12 games. We may not see Klay Thompson or Steph Curry at all the rest of the season and Golden State could easily could from the five-time reigning Western Conference champions to picking in the top three in next year’s draft. Despite these injuries, oddsmakers have done a good job putting lines out on Warriors games as their ATS results have been mostly pretty close to the closing point spread. That might make it difficult to choose a side in tonight’s game, but we do see some value on the Warriors expect the Celtics to roll in fat and happy off a nine-game winning streak, and the Warriors to play hard and have a chance to catch the Celtics napping. They’ll have a chance to steal this one outright so 7.5 points is plenty for us to back the Warriors.
