NBA Playoffs: Mims Previews Game Six – Sixers vs Raptors

The Sixers and Raptors square off tonight in Game 6. I am not sure which 76ers team will show up. The Sixers are not as bad as they looked in Game 5 when they lost by 36 points. The Sixers won game three by 21. I don’t see that team right now because of two subpar performance by Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Embiid came into the playoffs with injuries. His situation has gotten worse in this series. Embiid has shown a lack of offensive assertion in looking for his shot. He also is turning the ball over at an alarming clip. He is averaging 4 TOV in the last 4 games. Simmons is not able to get his game going because he is not pushing the ball strong to the basket.

I expect to see another Kawhi Leonard brilliant performance. I don’t expect Marc Gasol or Serge Ibaka to play as good as they did in Game 5. Pascal Siakum will score 20 and get 7 boards. The bench play will be nonexistent again for Toronto.

Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris will bring their A games because they face elimination. I am not expecting much from Simmons - probably 10 points and a strong effort on defense. Embiid will show up for this game and feed off of the crowd. Joel will shoot at least 10 foul shots and block 3 shots.

Sixers will win and force a game 7.

Brett Brown’s tenure with the team depends on it.
