The Sixers will play just their second game in six days Tuesday against the Washington Wizards. It will also be the 12th game Ben Simmons has played with at least two days off, which is significant when it comes to his rebounding numbers.
In the previous 11 such games this season, he is averaging 11.0 rebounds, and has surpassed 9.5 (the Over/Under total) in nine of those games.
In the 28 games in which he has played with one or no days rest, he is averaging 8.5 rebounds.
For the record, his assist numbers in those instances (7.7 / 9.1) are not nearly so diverse and his scoring averages (16.27 / 16.43) are virtually identical.
A little research yielded the gem that Simmons’ career-best rebounding game (18) came against the Wizards, so we doubled down on our usual $5 bet.
