UFC Fight Night is back in London, England Saturday! For those in the states on the east coast, the card starts at 1pm. 10am for those on the west coast! There may be nothing better than waking up to enjoy some breakfast and mma fights!
A lot could be on the line in the main event as Leon Edwards takes on challenger Sean Brady, as both look for a title shot after this fight. This card also boasts quite a few rising up-and-comers looking to establish themselves within their respective weight classes.
For those that remember, Vucenic looked very solid in his UFC debut. He took a loss, but he also took that fight on short notice, without a full fight camp. With a full fight camp, he perhaps wins that fight, but I also believe a fighter can learn a lot from a fight. Vucenic, though still raw, has the offensive firepower to put Chris Duncan out, or atleast out damage him here.
Duncan was losing his previous fight before finding a submission. He was pressured on his back foot, and taking damage, as he does in most fights. I know a lot of people like Vucenic to finish this fight, but Duncan is hard to finish. I trust Vucenic to fight off any takedown attempts from Duncan and find a KO or Decision victory.
Boy is this a tough one without digging into the research. Taking a fast rising prospect against a veteran, and a past champion at that, is very risky. One thing I love about Carlos Ulberg is he is not undefeated and is not undefeated in the UFC. He lost by TKO in his UFC debut, and ever since has ripped off 7 straight victories, 5 by finish.
Carlos tested himself last fight vs a tough Volkan Oezdemir and took the fight to a decision. I believe that helps him in this fight, as it's not always easy to finish a fighter I believe Jan Blachowicz will be tough to finish. Carlos is patient, likes to keep range and is a world class kickboxer. Jan is coming off multiple surgeries, and a decent layoff. Carlos will fend off take downs, will be too fast, and finds an 8th straight W.
Look, this is not a position I would normally take. Holland stinks, and I have felt that way for a long time. I have made quite a bit of money fading him, but I do think this is a spot to make money.
Holland gets Gunnar Nelson, who may be the most inactive fighter on the entire UFC roster. In the past 6 years, he has had a total of 3 fights. Holland has fought 6 times in the last 3 months! Jokes aside, there are a few reasons why I like Holland here.
Holland moved up in weight in recent fights, and he just isn’t big enough, strong enough, nor skilled enough for that weight class. He is back down to 170, where he can actually win fights. He also must win, or I truly think the UFC could cut him. If he loses, that is 3 straight, 5 of the last 6, and 7 of his last 10. Holland likes his money and if he wins in finishing fashion, his career with the UFC could keep rolling!
