The UFC returns to Perth, Western Australia where this card is sure to be an absolute banger. The UFC did a great job with these matchups this weekend and I cannot be more excited to get to Saturday. We have some heavy favorites in this card and perhaps a new champion at the end of the night will be crowned!

Will We See Another Shoey on Saturday Night?

For these odds and the situation, I am certainly sprinkling on this prop. Tai Tuivasa is on a 4 fight fighting skid, and quite frankly not looking that impressive after he burst onto the scene. He also has a very tough matchup with a rather polished Jairszinho Rozenstruik.

Tuivasa is fighting to avoid a 5 fight losing streak, in front of his home crowd. He is the less skilled fighter, but he can make fights dirty at any moment and catch his shot! Rozenstruik is beatable, and I imagine this fight will stay on the feet.

I don’t believe Tuivasa will catch a submission here, but he may be able to drag out a win if he can do enough damage. I have a lot of respect for Rozenstruik, this is simply a play on the odds and Tai needs this win badly.

Steve Erceg Will Show He Belongs

I am not sure how much people believe in Steve Erceg’s meteoric rise to the top. He is coming off a 5 round championship loss to Pantoja, in which he had many chances to steal the victory. He gets Kai Kara France who is coming off 2 losses but can be dangerous on the feet.

Erceg will be the much bigger fighter in this matchup. Kai is 5’4” compared to Steve at 5’8”, but with that compact size, France brings power in his strikes and has very good defense.

I imagine this fight will be on the feet for most of it with France’s takedown defense, but I think Steve can get this to the ground and have enough damage on Kai to win this by decision.

Dan Hookers Won’t Have Enough

Sure this is a dangerous spot, Dan Hooker is absolutely live for a KO, or even a drag out decision, but I cannot ignore Mateusz Gamrots ability to wrestle.

If Gamrot is smart, he will stay out of harms way and close the distance as fast as possible. He must stay out of Hookers range. Hooker will try to draw Gamrot into a striking match, and even though Gamrot can strike, he has no power.

He needs to get this on the ground, and I think after repeated attempts he will get Hooker down and exhaust him over 3 rounds. Hooker has great takedown defense, but he has been out of the ring for an entire year, and Gamrot is relentless.

Kenan Song Will Have His Hand Raised

Song has multiple paths to victory boasting 9 career wins by both KO/TKO and submission. He gets Ricky Glenn coming in on a 2 fight KO/TKO losing streak.

Song has the power to put Glenn to sleep and I do believe he will find that shot over the coarse of 3 rounds. I do believe this fight stays on the feet and Song is going to look for the kill shots upstairs and to the body.

He will press forward to find you and he will be looking to cause damage. I believe he learned a lot from his last fight where he lost a decision to Joussett.

Gamrot/Hooker Going The Distance?

I do believe this fight is going the distance, but I am taking the safer route to play the over 1.5 round prop.

Gamrot surely will look to get this to the ground with multiple takedown attempts and I expect Hooker to be able to get back up on some of those.

Both have experience and can weather damage from their counterpart, give me the over here.
