Happy Monday, fellow sports investors! The weekend was rough for us on the MLB side of things. We went 1-3, running our record to 41-42 on the young season for a deficit of 7.95 units. Things have been frustrating lately, but the tide will turn soon.

We got a nice late win with Zac Gallen, who overcame a tough start to cash our Over ticket on his strikeouts against Atlanta. Unfortunately, our other two K props lost by the dreaded hook. We've lost 10 strikeout props by the hook over the last month (OUCH).

Overall, though, the K props have done well this season at 24-16 (+5.96), but everything else has been a downward spiral. Let's shake it off and move on with 3 more strikeout props for Monday, April 28th. Best of luck, my friends!

Griffin Canning Under 4.5 Ks (-105) (Bet365)

NYM at WSH - 4:05 PM EDT

Canning has burned us a few times already this season, mainly because he's throwing his slider more often and with a higher rate of success. Even still, this is a tough matchup for Canning today against the Nationals.

Washington has been putting the ball in play at a high rate for several seasons in a row, and 2025 has been no different. The Nats have four everyday players with K-rates below 10.3%. That stat alone tells me that Canning will have a difficult time getting to 5 strikeouts here on the road.

Lastly, I like that Washington fared well against Canning last season. The Nats didn't strike out a single time against the veteran righty through 7 innings of work. Canning's career K-rate against Washington is also a paltry 10.9%. Give me the Under here!

Nick Martinez Under 4.5 Ks (-115) (DraftKings)

STL at CIN - 7:40 PM EDT

I've been impressed with Saint Louis's bats all year long, and I expect them to do some serious damage in the cracker box known as Great American Ball Park. Four hitters in the Cardinals' lineup have K-rates below 16.6%, and that number increases to five if Yohel Pozo gets the start at catcher.

Martinez has never been a big strikeout guy, and most of his big-league career has been spent in the bullpen. His median strikeout number was just 3.5 last season through 16 starts, so I was more than a little surprised to get this 4.5 number today at home in Cincy.

St. Louis's roster has also avoided striking out against Martinez. The young righty has a lifetime K-rate of just 6.9% against the Cards. Give me another Under!

Dustin May Over 5.5 Ks (+102) (FanDuel)

MIA at LAD - 10:10 PM EDT

Don't worry Over bettors, I didn't leave y'all out on this beautiful Monday morning. May is more of a ground ball pitcher, but he'll have plenty of strikeout opportunities against the Marlins tonight at home. We've faded Miami several times successfully and might as well do so again in this spot.

The Marlins should have at least five guys in their lineup who strike out at least 24.5% of the time. Four of those hitters fan more than 28% of the time, so May should be able to get plenty of swings and misses with his nasty sinker.

Even though May isn't known as a prolific strikeout guy, he's shown that he can rack up the Ks against free-swinging squads. He struck out 7 against Colorado and 6 against Atlanta earlier this season. Give me the plus money Over to wrap up the Monday card. Let's put 'em in the win column, ladies and gentlemen.
