Happy Hump Day, MLB lovers! Tuesday was not a good night for us on the diamond, as our MLB best bets went 1-2, running our record to 10-8 on the young season for a profit of 1.37 units.

How in the world do the St. Louis Cardinals keep losing to the freaking Angels, of all teams. I know it's early, but that Cards' bullpen has put us through back-to-back extra-inning losses. Trevor Williams and the Nats also let us down against the Blue Jays.

Our lone winner was on the Rangers, who got a masterful performance from Nate Eovaldi to beat the Reds. Let's get back in the win column with 3 MLB best bets for Wednesday, April 2nd. Good luck!

Best Bet: Royals F5 (-105) (Hard Rock)

KC at MIL - 1:10 PM EDT

How about a little day baseball to kick off our Wednesday? I know that Cole Ragans didn't look all that crisp on Opening Day against the Guardians. That being said, I'll gladly take a shot with him against Freddy Peralta today.

I trust Ragans quite a bit more than Peralta, mainly because he rated out better last year in K-rate, walk rate, and ground ball rate. The Brew Crew is ranking just 21st in WRC+ against southpaws so far on this young season.

The Royals' bats haven't been all that impressive either, but they're 19th in WRC+ against righties so far. Look for Kansas City to go up early behind some timely hitting from Bobby Witt Jr.

Best Bet: A's F5 (-110)

CHC at OAK- 3:35 PM EDT

I've made some good coin riding Jeffrey Springs a few times in his young career, and I think he can keep the hot Cubs bats at bay for at least the first half of this game. The 32-year-old lefty doesn't throw all that hard, but his changeup and slider are both nasty on hitters.

Springs was dominant last week, as he struck out 9 batters through 6 innings of work against the Mariners. I expect him to build on that positive momentum in this afternoon tilt against the North Siders.

Faithful readers of the column know that I've never been too high on Jameson Taillon. We already won a unit last week fading him against the D'Backs, and I'm happy to do so here against this scrappy young A's team.

Best Bet: Tigers (-118) (FanDuel)

DET at SEA - 4:10 PM EDT

Anytime I can get a reigning Cy Young Award winner at this cheap of a price, consider me a buyer. Skubal was touched up last week against the Dodgers, but I really don't think we can fault him too much for that. The Boys in Blue are by far the most talented team in baseball.

This is a good bounce-back spot for Skubal against a Seattle lineup that still strikes out a ton. The dynamic southpaw has a lifetime K-rate of 32.7% against this M's roster. Look for Tarik to get that 97-mph fastball working to his advantage in this one.

When it comes to managing bullpens, no one does it better than AJ Hinch. The former catcher always seems to know which guy to go to in specific situations. This price is way too cheap on the Motor City Kitties. Let's go, Matty B!
