Last night was the kind of evening you dream about as a baseball bettor! We went 4-0 to run our yearly record to 48-34 on the season. Readers who followed every play in April profited a nice 8.5%.

We're grateful for the good start, but there's never any time to celebrate during MLB season. Check out our betting guide for Wednesday below! Good luck, fellow sports investors!

Chris Bassitt Under 4.5 Ks (+110 at FanDuel)

Note: This is a 3:07 PM Eastern start time, so get those bets in soon!

Geeez! Am I the only one who is loving these plus money strikeout props over at FanDuel? This looks like a major deal on the Under for Bassitt, whose Whiff Rate only puts him in the 16th percentile so far this year.

Bassitt has had a slow start to 2024, and he's been getting hit hard by most squads. The veteran righty has an expected ERA of 5.99, which is one of the highest in baseball. Bassitt's walk rate of 12.1% is also more than a bit concerning for Toronto.

We love the feistiness of this Kansas City lineup, and the fact that they don't strike out too often against righties is an added bonus. The Royals have 5 players with K-rates below 17.5%. Take the Under!

Trevor Williams Under 3.5 Ks (-125 at DraftKings)

As crazy as this may sound, I think this line should be 2.5 instead of 3.5. Williams has pitched very well for the Nats to start the season, but he's never been a big strikeout guy. The 32-year-old's K-rate of just 18.8% puts him in the 28th percentile of MLB.

Williams changes speeds well and gets lots of ground balls, but his fastball tops out at only 89 mph. He also lacks a real put-away pitch, as both his slider and sweeper don't have a ton of bite.

The Rangers have one the lowest K-rates in all of baseball against righties. Semien, Smith, Seager, and Taveras all have strikeout rates below 18%. Give me another Under and let's hope our K props stay RED HOT!

Red Sox -110 (DraftKings)

The G-Men haven't announced a starting pitcher for this one, but I couldn't care less. I love Kutter Crawford and don't mind riding him at this cheap price, especially at home. How cool is it that a guy named Kutter has a wicked cutter?

Crawford's hard hit rate is only 26.1%, which is one of the lowest in the league. His expected batting average against is also impressive at only .206. He shouldn't have any trouble limiting a San Fran lineup that ranks 17th in WRC+ against righties!

The BoSox have been bitten hard by the injury bug, but it hasn't really slowed them down. Jarren Durran and Wilyer Abreu are coming off 3 hit games last night and I expect them to stay hot, no matter who the Giants trot out to the mound for this one.

Dodgers -134

I know Jordan Montgomery is an above average pitcher, but this price is way too cheap on the Boys in Blue. Monty knows how to pitch, but his K-rate of only 14% so far is a reason for concern. On the other hand, I think Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a real stud.

The 25-year-old from Japan has an above-average fastball and a wicked curveball. Those two pitches have given Yamamoto a strikeout rate of 31.9% so far, which means he's better than 91% of pitchers. He should do just fine against a struggling D'Backs lineup that ranks just 25th in WRC+ versus righties!

I don't like the Dodgers offense as much against lefties, but I don't think it'll matter tonight. LA still ranks 8th in WRC+ against southpaws, and I have their bullpen rated higher than Zona's. Lay the moderate price with the Dodgers!
