We split a pair of MLB best bets on Tuesday night. The Padres easily cashed for us against the Brewers, but the Rays let us down in the first 5 innings against the Angels. It's always infuriating to lose a first 5 bet and then the team you bet on comes back to win in extra innings.
Ready to make some cash on Hump Day? Check out our 2 MLB best bets and top player prop below! All three picks are afternoon games, so get those wagers in early. Good luck, sports betting family!
We've finally found a player prop that we want to jump on! Falter has one of the lowest K-rates in baseball, as he's striking out only 10.2% of hitters (5th percentile). His median strikeout number was just 3 last season.
The Mets have been the hottest-hitting team in baseball over the last week or 10 days. I could easily see Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor knocking Falter out of this game early. Even if the Mets don't punish Falter, I highly doubt that they'll strike out a lot.
New York has the 4th lowest strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers so far this season. The Mets also have 4 hitters with K-rates below 20%. Let's take an early afternoon Under to get things started with the Hump Day card.
We tried to play this one yesterday, but Mother Nature rained us out and told us to wait another day. The juice is a little steeper than what we had to pay yesterday, but the logic remains the same. The White Sox are really struggling at the plate, as they're only averaging 2.1 runs per game.
Chicago should have Eloy Jimenez back in the lineup, but they'll still be without two of their top sluggers, as Yoan Moncada and Luis Robert are out with injuries. The ChiSox will start a rookie pitcher (Jonathan Cannon) making his MLB debut for the 2nd straight game.
Kansas City will send Brady Singer to the mound this afternoon and he's impressed me greatly so far this season. After a rough 2023, Singer has a 0.98 ERA through 3 starts this season. The 27-year-old has a nasty slider to go along with a 92 MPH sinker. Let's play KC -0.5 in the first 5!
The Blue Jays have been playing some solid ball of late, but I just can't see the Yanks getting swept today against a division rival. New York will hand the ball to Marcus Stroman, who's been masterful so far with a ground ball percentage that ranks in the 88th percentile.
Stroman only tops out at around 90 mph, but he gets great movement with all 6 of his pitches. The 32-year-old veteran righty has only given up 4 earned runs in his first 2 starts this season, and he should be able to contain this Blue Jays lineup.
Something just isn't right with Toronto ace Kevin Gausman. He gave up 6 earned runs to the Rockies (yes, those Rockies) in his last start. The former LSU Tiger also got rocked by this same Yankees lineup back on April 6th (5 earned runs in just 1.1 innings). Let's play the Yanks to avoid the sweep!
