MLB with the Wiz: NY Yankees head to Kansas City with American League playoff berth in sights

Right now, the New York Yankees are tearing into the soft underbelly of their schedule, going 8-2 in their last 10 games to pull within 2.5 games of the Boston Red Sox.

Unfortunately for the Yankees, though, the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays have also gone 8-2 over that stretch, so New York is still 6.5 games back of the Rays, and only a half-game clear of the Blue Jays.

The Yankees need to keep winning, and they are in Kansas City Monday night.

With Jameson Taillon vs Carlos Hernandez the pitching matchup, this could be a low scoring affair: I would have to lean towards the under 10 runs here.
