Wednesday MLB Strikeout Prop Bets: Krothers picks Oriole Dean Kremer, Blue Jay Steven Matz, Astro Zach Greinke

Yankees @ Orioles, 7:05 pm ET, Nationals @ Blue Jays, 7:07 pm ET, Mariners @ Astros, 8:10 pm ET.

Happy humpday everyone! Lots of good matchups today to look at, so let’s get it on

Yankees @ Orioles, 7:05 pm ET

I love the Yankees, but lately they will win a game with a HR or lose it with a strikeout. They are not big on “balls in play” and the lack of a small ball game has hurt them in the new extra inning rule. Long story short, always expect lots of strikeouts. Dean Kremer takes the bump for Baltimore tonight, and every game he starts it seems to be a bullpen game – he hasn’t gone more than 3 innings. That said, he’s got a live arm and currently has high-K stuff – so striking out 5 in 3, as he did last time against these Yankees, is not out of the picture. The only line I’ve found on him is on Fanduel who’ve set the line at 4.5. With the big Yankee bats finally starting to get hot, I’m going to put my money on the under at -118.

Nationals @ Blue Jays, 7:07 pm ET

Steven Matz has done everything you could possibly want for Toronto – he has a 4-0 record, 2.31 era and .94 whip. Mets fans have no idea who this guy is, but he doesn’t appear to be the same pitcher who appeared in Queens for 6 years. Not only that, he’s got a nice 25K in 23 innings. Aren’t pitchers supposed to get worse in the move to the A.L.? BetMGM has set the line at 4.5 and I’m going to take the over which is currently sitting at -143.

Mariners @ Astros, 8:10 pm ET

People thought Zach Greinke was done last year as he went 3-3 with a bloated (for him) 4.03 era, but he’s looking like himself again this year and I just can’t bet against him when he shows this type of control. BetMGM is offering +120 on him getting over 5.5 and I’ll happily take it – I expect an 8 inning 7 K outing.

Come back again — same bat-channel — Batman out!
