MLB Sunday Prop Picks: Krothers likes Drew Smyly, Ronald Acuna Jr., Alec Bohm, JT Realmuto, Freddie Freeman

First pitch for the Phillies vs Braves is at 7:08 pm EDT.

Got double vaccinated and felt immortal – then got a stomach bug which knocked me into the bathroom for 2 days. That’s not right. To make it up to you, I’m going to mix it up today and pick a few props from tonight’s Phillies vs Braves game.

Strikeouts

Drew Smyly – I never trusted people who put the letter Y where an I should be, but this guy has proven me wrong enough to win me over. I like the over 6.5 line which is hovering around +100.

Total Hits

Ronald Acuna Jr. – Acuna, to me, is the best leadoff man in the game today. He may be the best since Ricky Henderson, but only time will tell. I’m seeing +182 on him getting over 1.5 hits and I’ll take it.

Alec Bohm – This kid is a hitting machine – reminds me a bit of DJ LeMahieu in his approach to at-bats. He’s only going to get better with age. The line I’m looking at is over .5 hits at -230 and to me, this is a no-brainer.

Home Runs

Picking home runs hasn’t been my strong suit, but there are a couple of big numbers that I’ll put a few bucks on and hope they pan out.

J.T. Realmuto is at +425 and Freddie Freeman is at +400 – I wouldn’t bet the bank on either, but why not give it a shot to see if they will get theirs?

Come back tomorrow — same bat-channel — Batman out!
