Thursday MLB Strikeout Prop Bets: Krothers (5-1 over last 2 nights) likes Griffin Canning, Christian Javier

Went 2-1 last night with my picks – so true to my word I’m sticking with it and have changed the spelling of my name and Twitter account. Only 2 picks today because I’m picky with my picks.

I really like Griffin Canning’s stuff and I think he will easily get over 4.5 K’s IF he can stay in the game long enough. The Blue Jays have so many strong bats he may not last 5. That said, he has the ability to get at least 5 in 4, so I’ll roll with the -127 I’m seeing in the books.

Athletics @ Astros, 8:10 pm ET

Christian Javier is another strong young arm the Astros have developed who has a fantastic K/IP ratio. Last time out they only left him in for 3.2 innings but he still managed 4 K’s against this same Oakland lineup. I think he lasts longer and get the over 4.5 – looks like he’s trending at -150 now and I say jump on it.
