MLB Opening Day: Batman Crothers bets home run props for Charlie Blackmon, Paul Goldschmidt, Hunter Dozier

First pitch for Crothers' games is at 4:10 pm EDT.

It’s opening day, so the Batman is back online looking to make some scratch with home run picks. Odds are from DraftKings, but you might want to shop around and see if you can do better elsewhere.

Dodgers @ Rockies, 4:10 pm ET

If you ever want to face Clayton Kershaw, it’s early in the season and in Colorado where the ball can fly. I’m also not convinced he’s completely stretched out, so he may get the early hook. I like Charlie Blackmon (+410) to go deep today – he’s hit 4 off Kershaw lifetime and I like him to do it again.

Cardinals @ Reds, 4:10 pm ET

Luis Castillo has good stuff, but he has to prove himself before I see him as an ace. As such, I like old favorite Paul Goldschmidt, currently at +515 to go yard against him today.

Rangers @ Royals, 4:10 pm ET

I like the Royals to score a lot of runs this year so Rangers starter Kyle Gibson has his work cut out for him facing a hungry team. Hunter Dozier is hot, having hit 5 HRs this spring, and I can see him going deep today – even better, he's at +520, so why not throw a few bucks on him?

Here’s to hoping the new baseballs don’t drag down the HRs this year!

Batman out!
