Strikeout prop bets: Josh Jutcovich is armed to win his Tuesday night MLB action with Jack Flaherty, Yu Darvish and Zach Davies

Josh's first pitcher takes the mound at 6:40 pm EDT.

Tuesday Bets: Focusing on Pitchers Strikeouts

Season Record: 2-2

Decent performance last week, missed going 4-0 by a combined two strikeouts. For anyone not familiar, I will be focusing on strikeouts by pitchers props. There is not a lot of star power on the mound tonight but there is still a full slate of games, and therefore, plenty of arms to target. First game starts at 6:40 pm with all 30 teams playing, and refreshingly, no double headers on the schedule. Let’s get into it.

St. Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers

SP – Jack Flaherty: Tied 27th in strikeouts (27)

Note: Not as dominant as last season, but still very solid. Facing a Milwaukee team that averages 2nd most strikeouts per game. Threw season high 95 pitches last time out, and as long as he hits 90 pitches today, would be surprised if he does not rack up a lot of swing and misses.

Last Outing: Versus Detroit Tigers, 5 IP, 6 K’s

Prop: Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-129)

Cleveland Indians @ Chicago Cubs

SP – Yu Darvish: 12th in strikeouts (72)

Note: Darvish is having an incredible season, and will look to build upon his resume for the Cy Young. He has 7+ strikeouts in all but two games this summer, and has 38 K’s over his last 26 innings. Cleveland as a team is top 10 in total strikeouts. Darvish has been an absolute workhorse this season, and this is my favorite pick of the night.

Last Outing: Versus Cincinnati Reds, 6 IP, 9 K’s

Prop: Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-139)

Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres

SP – Zach Davies: Tied 25th in strikeouts (50)

Note: After a great 2019 season in Milwaukee, Davies was shipped off to the Padres in the Trent Grisham trade. Not only has he improved an already very solid average, this righty has become much more of a strikeout artist. Never known for his K ability, he has upped his K/9 from 5.75 to 8.28. However, he is still being treated as the contact oriented pitcher from his Brewers days, leaving us with great value. He has not gone less than 5 innings all season and in his previous meeting against the Dodgers in August, he had 9 punchouts.

Last Outing: Versus Colorado Rockies, 6IP, 8 K’s

Prop: Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+111)
