BoopProps plays 9 HR/goal Philly parlays with Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins, J.T. Realmuto, Jacob Voracek, Kevin Hayes and Claude Giroux

Phillies vs Braves at 7: 05 pm EDT. Flyer vs Islanders is at 8 pm EDT.

For the first time since May 6, 2012, the Phillies and Flyers are both playing on a Sunday night . . . and in fairly big games to boot.

For such a special occasion, we thought we’d go off the beaten track and try some crossover Individual Parlays and try to snag a nice little payout to end the weekend.

We will take three players from each team and mix-and-match them to come up with nine Home Run/Goal Parlays. The Phillies players are no-brainers – Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins and J.T. Realmuto.

We are fairly certain Realmuto will play. The Phillies did have off days twice this week already (Monday and Thursday) and he was the DH Saturday, so not catching saved him some wear-and-tear. If you see Realmuto is not starting, feel free to switch to Andrew McCutchen. He had three homers in two weeks, including one in the series opener Friday.

The Flyers’ choices are not all quite so easy.

Jakob Voracek (four goals in the postseason) and Kevin Hayes (three) are slam dunks. And four other players have tallied thrice since the Restart, but there is just a part of us that wants to see the Captain pull out of his funk – and make some money for us when he does.

Claude Giroux last lit the light by depositing two against the Sabres in the penultimate game of the regular season on March 7. Since then, he has 30 shots on goal and nary a tally to show for them.

On top of that, he has just one goal in his last 25 postseason games, dating back to the next-to-contest in 2014. Here is a year-by-year look at his postseason goal-scoring production:

2009: 2 (6 Games Played)

2010: 10 (23 GP)

2011: 1 (11 GP)

2012: 8 (10 GP)

2014: 2 (7 GP)

2016: 0 (6 GP)

2018: 1 (6 GP)

2020: 0 (12 GP)

Despite all that, we will go with him in this spot figuring if he doesn’t get on the board soon, the Flyers will be getting on a plane. If you’d rather go with someone else, Scott Laughton and rookie Joel Farabee are other players to consider.
