Sunday MLB Best Bets: Eckel, with a 72% winning percentage this week, picks Brewers vs Pirates, Reds vs Cardinals, & Rangers vs Mariners
Saturday’s 2-1 performance — a win with Baltimore and over on Seattle/Texas and a loss by Oakland — continued a pretty good week.
After a terrible day last Sunday, the selections here the past six days were 13-5 for a .722 winning percentage.
It won’t be easy but let’s try to keep that going Sunday.

Odds: Brewers -180; Pirates +150
Cincinnati Reds at St. Louis Cardinals, 2:15 p.m.
Pitchers: Tyler Mahle vs. Daniel Ponce de Leon
Odds: Reds -110; Cards +102
Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners, 4:10 p.m.
Pitchers: Mike Minor vs. Justin Dunn
Over/Under: 9 runs
THE CYCLE
Single: Over the past two nights the Reds have just six hits, three came from a part-time player getting a start Saturday and another was a pinch-hit grand slam Friday. And yet they are favored on the road in St. Louis. Hmm. Take Cincinnati.
Double: We’re going back to Seattle and taking the over again. Mike Minor has struggled all season and the Mariners have been hitting well of late. The Rangers should score runs too.
Triple: The Pirates came into the weekend series against the Brewers with a total of four wins. Sunday they are looking for a third straight win over the Brewers. It’s not going to happen. Take the Brewers and Burnes.
Home Run: Take a shot on Cincinnati’s Jesse Winker and Boston’s J.D. Martinez to go deep Sunday.
