MLB Sunday: Eckel picks Indians vs Tigers, Brewers vs Cubs, Rangers vs Rockies, Dodgers vs Angels
Colorado’s bullpen cost us a chance for a perfect night Saturday after the Phillies and Indians cashed in for us earlier in the night.
No time to dwell on the past, there’s a full slate (almost) of games Sunday.
Cleveland Indians at Detroit Tigers, 1:10 p.m.
Pitchers: Adam Plutko vs. Michael Fulmer
Odds: Indians -143; Tigers: +123
Pick: The Indians have beaten the Tigers 19 straight times. That has to end soon, right? How about today? Fulmer hasn’t been himself this year, but is due for a good game. Take the Tigers at home with a nice price.
Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs, 2:20 p.m.
Pitchers: Josh Lindblom vs. Jon Lester
Odds: Brewers +105; Cubs -120
Pick: Lester is off to a great start at 2-0 with 1.06 ERA. Ride him to win over the Brewers and a split of the four-game series.
Texas Rangers at Colorado Rockies, 3:10 p.m.
Pitchers: Kolby Allard vs. Jon Gray
Odds: Rangers +115; Rockies -125
Pick: I’m this close to putting the Rockies on the Diamondbacks list of never betting them. I’ll give them one more chance to salvage the last game of the series at home.
Los Angeles Dodgers at Los Angeles Angels, 4:10 p.m.
Pitchers: Dustin May vs. Julio Teheran
Odds: Dodgers -190; Angels +170
Pick: The Dodgers won the first two games of the series the were both close and well played. The Angels behind Mike Trout and the suddenly hot Anthony Rendon take the final game of the series.
