In Friday baseball action, Eckel picks the Braves vs Marlins, Brewers vs Cubs, Padres vs Diamondbacks with two prop picks for HRs

Tonight's baseball games are at 7:10, 8:15 and 9:40 pm EDT

A couple of weeks back I had to remind myself never to bet Arizona after the Diamondbacks let me down more than once.

Today’s lesson to myself is never take an under. I thought Thursday night’s Pittsburgh at Cincinnati game was a perfect under; and the over hit by the third inning.

Oh well we still gave you two winners Thursday in the Cubs (over Milwaukee) and the Mets (over Washington).

Let’s try again Friday with three games in three time zones.

Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins, 7:10 p.m.

Pitchers: Kyle Wright vs. Pablo Lopez

Odds: Braves -115; Marlis -105

Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs, 8:15

Pitchers: Brandon Woodruff vs. Tyler Chatwood

Odds: Brewers -110; Cubs -110

San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks, 9:40 p.m.

Pitchers: Dinelson Lamet vs. Merrill Kelly

Odds: Padres -140; Diamondbacks +120

The Cycle

Single: In the battle for first place in the NL East, I like the Braves. Why? Because the Marlins have no right battling for first place in the NL East. Oh yeah, Lopez is also 0-3 in his career against the Braves.

Double: I’m going to stick with the Cubs, while they’re hot because they aren’t going to stay this hot forever.

Triple: The line on the Padres game seems a little out of whack, especially after Arizona took two of three from Colorado. I’m taking the road favorite Padres in this one.

Home Run: I’m going to go with old favorite Ronald Acuna, of Atlanta and Joey Gallo, of Texas.
