MLB Tuesday Best Bets: Eckel picks Braves vs Yankees, Cubs vs Indians, D-backs vs Rockies, & 3 HR player picks

First pitch of Atlanta Braves at New York Yankees is at 7:05 pm, Chicago Cubs at Cleveland Indians at 7:10 pm, and Arizona Diamondbacks at Colorado Rockies start at 8:40 pm

Tuesday’s MLB slate is loaded with some interesting games. Here are three of those games that might be worth a small (or large, if you choose) wager.

Atlanta Braves at New York Yankees, 7:05 p.m.

Pitchers: Touki Toussaint vs. Jordan Montgomery

Over/Under: 10

Chicago Cubs at Cleveland Indians, 7:10 p.m.

Pitchers: Jon Lester vs. Adam Plutko

Odds: Cubs +125; Indians -145

Arizona Diamondbacks at Colorado Rockies, 8:40 p.m.

Pitchers: Zac Gallen vs. Kyle Freeland

Odds: Diamondbacks -115; Rockies -105

The Cycle

Single: In a rematch of the 2016 World Series the Cubs head to Cleveland, a team that has overcome more than a few obstacles this season including not having manager Terry Francona in the dugout for the majority of their games. This is a tough match-up against Lester, who is 8-3 lifetime against the Tribe. The Cubs are playing well, and I expect that to continue Tuesday in Cleveland. Take Chicago.

Double: Colorado pitcher Kyle Freeland might just be an every-other-year kind of guy. In 2018 Freeland was a 17-game winner for the Rockies. Last year he went 3-11. This year he’s off to a 2-0 start and has looked impressive in both games he’s pitched. Take the Rockies at home at a good price.

Triple: Braves/Yankees was my preseason World Series prediction so I’m a little amped for this one. I’m not sure who’s going to win, but I think both teams are going to score some runs. So, take the over 10 runs.

Home Run: Going to go with two of our favorites Aaron Judge, of the Yanks, and Ronald Acuna, of the Braves and we’ll throw in Anthony Rizzo, of the Cubs as well.
