Monday Night Baseball: Eckel has picks for White Sox vs Tigers, Twins vs Brewers, A’s vs Angels, and HR shots
You win some, you lose some and some get suspended.
That was the Sunday plight as Seattle upset Colorado for a win; the Pirates lost 2-1 to Detroit for the loss and the Washington/Baltimore game was suspended.
Ronald Acuna did homer (twice), however, so that was a win.
Here are the picks for Monday.
Chicago White Sox at Detroit Tigers, 7:10 pm
Pitchers: Dallas Kuechel vs. Michael Fulmer
Odds: White Sox -150; Tigers +130
Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers, 8:10 pm
Pitchers: Randy Dobnak vs. Adrian Houser
Odds: Twins -110; Brewers -110
Oakland A’s at Los Angeles Angels, 9:40 pm
Pitchers: Sean Manaea vs. Julio Teheran
Odds: As -125; Angels +110
The Cycle
Single: The Tigers, the worst team in baseball a year ago, are playing well. But the White Sox need this game to get back on track and have Kuechel on the mound. The odds tell me a little bit too. Take the Sox.
Double: Dobnak and Houser are two good, young pitchers. The Twins have not been playing well of late, but could bounce back on the road against the Brewers. Take Minnesota.
Triple: Oakland is playing like it’s the best team in baseball. So ride the A’s while they’re hot.
Home Runs: Let’s take a shot with Jose Abreu, of the White Sox and Charlie Blackmon, of the Rockies.
