MLB Bets for Wednesday: Eckel has odds and picks for Mets vs Nationals, Red Sox vs Rays, Angels vs Mariners, and a pair of HR plays
Every night isn’t going to be like Tuesday, it’s why they call it gambling.
For the second time in four nights we had a perfect 3-for-3 day as the Braves crushed the Blue Jays; the Nationals handled the Mets; and the White Sox, as a slight underdog beat the Brewers.
Let’s try to do it again Wednesday.
New York Mets at Washington Nationals, 6:05 pm EDT
Pitchers: Rick Porcello vs. Max Scherzer
Odds: Mets +190; Nats -220
Boston Rex Sox at Tampa Bay Rays, 6:40 pm EDT
Pitchers: Martin Perez vs. Ryan Yarborough
Odds: Red Sox +125; Rays -145
Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners, 9:40 pm EDT
Pitchers: Julio Teheran vs. Marcus Gonzalez
Over/Under: 9
The Cycle
Single: Tampa Bay recovered from its lost weekend in Baltimore and can get back to .500 with a win Wednesday night. Yarborough is 3-1 in his career against the Sox, while Perez is 1-3 in Tampa Bay. Take the Rays.
Double: The Angels and Mariners can both score runs and neither pitcher Teheran, nor Gonzalez is exactly a Cy Young candidate. Take the over 9 runs.
Triple: Normally, a -220 isn’t a worthwhile play. But Scherzer vs. Porcello isn’t really fair. Put the Nats in a parlay or two and cash.
Home Runs: We’re looking for Anthony Rendon (Angels) and George Springer (Astros) to leave the yard Wednesday night.
