MLB Picks: After a big Saturday, Eckel has Rays at Orioles, White Sox at Royals, Rangers at Giants and likes Gallo and Choi to homer Sunday
You made some money if you followed Saturday’s picks.
Three winners — the Yankees, Braves and A's — a push — Tampa Bay/Baltimore over — and just for good measure Ronald Acuna homered as predicted.
Let’s try to do it again Sunday.
Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles, 1:05 p.m.
Pitchers: Vonny Chirinos vs. Tommy Millone
Odds: Rays -185; Orioles +170
Chicago White Sox at Kansas City Royals, 2:05 p.m.
Pitchers: Dylan Cease vs. Jakob Junis
Odds: White Sox -125; Royals +105
Texas Rangers at San Francisco Giants, 4:05 p.m.
Pitchers: Robby Allard vs. Jeff Samardzija
Odds: Rangers even; Giants -110
The Cycle
Single: Junis was supposed to be one of the Royals top two starters but tested positive for COVID-19 and makes his debut today. He’s ready. In Cease’s only start against the Royals a year ago he lost 11-0. Take the Royals.
Double: The Rangers/Giants game matches pitchers with a 13-year age difference. Robby Allard, 22, pitched well in his debut this season and will try to avoid a sweep today. Samardzjia, the 35-year-old, one-time football player, is 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA in his career vs. Texas.
Triple: I can’t believe the Rays will be swept by the Orioles. Put them in parlays with the Royals and Rangers.
Home Run: Let’s go with Texas’ Joey Gallo and Tampa Bay’s JI-Man Choi.
