Bet MLB while you can: Eckel picks Blue Jays vs Nationals, Royals vs Tigers, a parlay, & more

With less than a full slate of MLB games Monday let’s try to turn another profit. Blue Jays at Washington, 6:05 pm EDT, Kansas City at Detroit, 7:10 pm EDT.

What was is that MeatLoaf said, “Two out of three ain’t bad.’

That’s how our Sunday picks went with a winner in Tampa Bay and the over in the Minnesota/Chicago game, and the one loser was Texas, when (not making excuses) starting pitcher Corey Kluber left after one scoreless inning.

With less than a full slate of games Monday let’s try to turn another profit.

Blue Jays at Washington, 6:05 p.m.

Pitchers: Trent Thornton vs. Anibal Sanchez

Odds: Toronto (+110); Washington (-125)

Over/Under: 10

Kansas City at Detroit, 7:10 p.m.

Pitchers: Mike Montgomery vs. Michael Fulmer

Over/Under: 9 1/2

The Cycle

Single: Take the Nats and Sanchez over the traveling Blue Jays, who after a three-game set in Tampa stay on the road at Washington.

Double: I don’t expect a lot of scoring in Detroit Monday night with the Royals in town, so that under 9 1/2 total looks promising.

Triple: You want to parlay? Add the over 10 runs to the Nats; or do the under 9 1/2 in the KC/Detroit game to the over in the Blue Jays/Nats game.

Home Run: I’m sticking with George Springer (+250) to go deep Monday night.
