MLB Saturday - Albert Picks Nationals v Royals, Yankees v Rays, Phillies v Mets, White Sox v Cubs; Scherzer, Sabathia, Arrieta, Lester

Favorite Pick of the Day:
Nationals (-400) over Royals

Reverse Pick of the Day:
Yankees (+110) over Rays

Are You Sure? Pick of the Day:
Phillies (+130) over Mets

Chicago Pick of the Day:
White Sox (+105) over Cubs

The Skinny:
You’ll probably stay away from this one because of the price, and for good reason. It’s the highest price we’ve seen this year, but it’s only because Max Scherzer has been superhuman as of late. It doesn’t hurt that the Royals suck. No trends. No stats. Just common sense. . . . Blake Snell just isn’t what he was last year, despite Vegas still valuing him as the ace of yesteryear. The Yankees are hotter than hot and throwing CC Sabathia, which bodes well because the Rays are 1-5 in their last six home games vs. a left-handed starter. Meanwhile, the Yankees are 7-0 in their last seven games vs. a left-handed starter. . . . If the last few weeks has taught us anything about the Phillies, its that they are a bad team against most everyone and a great team against the Mets. So, why stop here? The Phillies are 4-1 in Jake Arrieta’s last five starts while the Mets are 0-5 in their last five home games vs. a right-handed starter. . . . Aside from the Subway Series, the Crosstown Classic between the North Siders and the South Siders is one of my favorite things to watch during the summer. And guess who I’m taking today? You bet, the White Sox! The White Sox are 10-2 in Lucas Giolito’s last 12 starts and 6-0 in his last six home starts. The Cubs are 0-4 in Jon Lester’s last four road starts and 1-4 in their last five overall.
