MLB Monday: Albert’s Quick Picks – Yankees vs Orioles, Phillies vs Cubs, Nationals vs Mets, and Twins vs Angels

Favorite Pick of the Day:
Yankees (-182) over ORIOLES

My Dumb Brain Pick of the Day
CUBS (-127) over Phillies

Are You Sure? Pick of the Day:
METS (+139) over Nationals

Pick’em of the Day:
Twins (+112) over ANGELS

The Skinny:
JA Happ
has been good for the Yankees this year, and that’s about all I need to pick against the Orioles. Plus, the Orioles are 2-8 in Andrew Cashner’s last 10 home starts vs. a team with a winning record. . . . My dumb brain has been right two days in a row, so let’s make it three. After a home sweep, traveling for a Monday game against a good opponent means a loss. Sorry, Phillies. To add insult to injury, the Phillies are 1-4 in Jake Arrieta’s last five road starts. . . . The Mets burned me this weekend. They have not won in their last five games. And they face Patrick Corbin tonight. And I’m picking them again. The Mets are 4-1 in their last five home games and the Nationals are 0-4 in their last four Monday games. Returning home after a tough weekend could be the cure for the Mets. . . . This is as close to a pick’em as we have today, so it’ll have to do. The Twins are 6-0 in Jake Odorizzi’s last six starts and 7-1 in his last eight starts vs. a team with a losing record. Good enough for me to take the Twins.
