MLB Tuesday: Albert’s Quick Pitch Picks - Red Sox v Tigers, Phillies v Mets, Cubs v Dodgers, and Rays v Royals

Favorite Pick of the Day:
RED SOX (-210) over Tigers

Same Record Pick of the Day
Phillies (+115) over METS

Pick’em of the Day:
CUBS (-110) over Dodgers

If You Must:
RAYS (-185) over Royals

The Skinny:
They got rained out yesterday, but the pick remains the same! To say the Red Sox have not been profitable this season is a massive understatement, but they are too talented to lose all faith in. The Red Sox are 4-0 in their last four games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15, which they will face in Matthew Boyd today, and are 17-4 in their last 21 home games vs. a left-handed starter. And, oh yeah, Chris Sale is on the mound. . . .  Tuesday will be a test for the Phillies after Bryce Harper’s ejection and Jake Arrieta’s post-game comments. Luckily, the trends are behind them to respond and get off the snide. The Phillies are 4-1 in Zach Eflin’s last five road starts against a team with a winning record. . . . Yes, the Dodgers are hot (7-1 in their last eight), but the Cubs are really good with Jose Quintana on the mound. They are 4-1 in Quintana’s last five starts vs. the National League West. . . . The trends tell the story here: The Royals are 0-8 in their last eight games on astroturf, 1-5 in their last six during Game 2 of a series and 1-4 in their last five Tuesday games. Meanwhile, the Rays are 9-0 in their last nine games against a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15, 12-2 in their last 14 against the American League Central and 7-1 in Ryne Stanek’s last eight home starts.
