MLB: Albert’s Quick Pitches - Royals v Yankees, Astros v Rangers, Giants v Pirates, and Phillies v Rockies

Favorite Pick of the Day:
YANKEES (-167) over Royals

Low Risk, High Reward Pick of the Day
RANGERS (+200) over Astros

Pick’em of the Day:
PIRATES (-110) over Giants

If You Must:
Phillies (+120) over ROCKIES

The Skinny:
There are not a ton of trends that point one way or another for this game, but there is one that speaks volumes. CC Sabathia is 8-2 in his last 10 starts against the Royals. That and the Yankees are typically good for a bounce-back game after a predictable post-Sox series letdown. . . .  This is a pick simply because the Rangers have been hot as of late, not because they match up well with the Astros or I have faith in Drew Smyly. That being said, the Astros are 1-4 in Justin Verlander’s last five starts against the Rangers. Worth a shot. . . . Not only are the Pirates 4-0 in their last four home games and 4-1 in their last five overall, they are 4-1 in their last five games against a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15, which Madison Bumgarner qualifies for. . . . The Phillies are not good in Colorado, that is well documented. But, if there’s one thing the 2019 Phils have done differently from clubs of past years, it’s that they bounce back quick and avoid stringing together losses. The Phillies are 4-0 in their last five after scoring two runs or less in their previous game and are 7-1 in their last eight after allowing five runs or more in their previous game. All that adds up to them being 6-1 in their last seven games following a loss. Not bad.
