MLB Opening Day: Albert’s Quick Pitches include Braves v Phillies, Mets v Nationals & Orioles v Yankees

Take us out to the ballgame!

Favorite Pick of the Day:
PHILLIES (-177) over Braves

Underdog Pick of the Day:
Mets (+127) over NATIONALS

Over of the Day:
Orioles @ YANKEES (9)

Under of the Day:
Braves @ PHILLIES (7.5)

If You Must:
Pirates (+115) over REDS

The Skinny:
The big day is finally here, and the matchups are great, to boot. Bryce Harper’s debut at Citizens Bank Park could turn into the Aaron Nola show.  Dating back to last year, the Phillies are 4-1 in Nola’s last five starts during Game 1 of a series. He went five and a third innings in last year’s opener against the Braves. Want the other NL East showdown? The Mets are 6-0 in Jacob deGrom’s last six road starts vs. Nationals, while Nationals are 1-4 in Max Scherzer’s last five home starts vs. Mets. Quite the discrepancy for two Cy Young-caliber hurlers. The other New York team is also in action against Baltimore. Believe it or not, Over is 6-1 in Masahiro Tanaka’s last seven starts against the Orioles. But remember, Opening Day is a toss up, so maybe don’t put the house on anything.
