Wednesday’s Race Recap from Belmont at Aqueduct:

(All odds US)

Aqueduct:

Race 1: 4th@ 13.70/1

Race 5: 7th@ 25.00/1

Race 7: 1st@ 2.45/1

🔥🔥🔥🔥BEST BET🔥🔥🔥🔥

In Race 1 I was trying to beat heavily favored Blue Eighty Five who I thought looked fraudulent. Well, the good news is that we accomplished our goal - the bad news - we finished fourth. One Witheverything broke fine and stalked the pace but had no punch when it counted. In Race 5, Later Darling raced inside of horses early but once she had clear running room, she didn’t have the punch, finishing 7th. In Race 7, Agate Road raced well behind a reasonable early pace and came with his strong late run to give us a BEST BET win and keep his Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf dreams alive !!!

We’ll take another look at some races from Aqueduct Thursday before Keeneland opens on Friday. I’m expecting fast and firm conditions! Let’s get to work!

Belmont at Aqueduct:

Race 9: Heroneandonly - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 30/1)

Maiden claimers line up to do battle at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. There are no killers in this field and I’m looking to close out the day with BIG BALLOONS on a runner who’s currently on the “also eligible” list so he’ll need a scratch to draw into the body of this race. Heroneandonly hails from the lowest of low profile connections and the 30/1 morning line might just be double-that by post time, but this guy has run competitive races that fit with the very best of these. His career best performance was on this surface at a sixteenth of a mile shorter than today’s distance. That day he led all the way around the track at 101/1 odds before getting passed by Ouster. Ouster would go on to put up speed figures in the 90’s which is higher than anyone in this field will ever see in their career. From there he was given the winter off and returned like he needed a race. In his second start off a layoff he came within a length and a half of upsetting a six-furlong sprint field at nearly 30/1. From there he had two off-the-turf efforts which helped to muddy up his form (he’s a turf runner not a dirt runner) and last time out he was moving well late in a sprint against much better than he’ll see today. This guy has a bullet work since his most recent start as well as a five-furlong conditioning drill. As the great Taylor Swift says:” 🎶 Don’t say I didn’t say I didn’t warn you!! 🎶 “

Best of luck to all our members playing Thursday’s races from Aqueduct!
